ESTATE CROPS ACTIVITIES – The Indonesian Center For Estate Crops Research and Development (ICECRD) is ready to collaborate with the Citra Widya Edukasi Oil Palm Polytechnic (CWE) in coconut and oil palm research. This was stated by the Head of the ICECRD, Ir. Syafaruddin, Ph.D, at the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with CWE Palm Oil Polytechnic, Wednesday 8 December 2021, at the Display Building.
“Currently we are developing coconut and oil palm tissue culture, it would be great if we could share knowledge and energy,” he said.
Not only coconut and palm oil, the ICECRD is also ready to collaborate for research and development of other commodities. In addition, they also support the MBKM program run by the CWE Oil Palm Polytechnic.
“For other commodities, we have had many successes, such as patchouli, vanilla, sugar cane, etc. If there are students who want to do internships or street vendors at our place, the campus can write a letter by mentioning the student’s name, NIM, and the research field of interest,” he added.
Director of CWE Palm Oil Polytechnic, Ir. St. Nugroho, MT, also welcomed this collaboration. He hopes that the follow-up cooperation in the future can go well. “We are grateful for the permission of the Plantation Research and Development Center to cooperate with us,” said Nugroho.
