Reward And Punishment System Becomes Motivation For Excellent Service For ICECRD

ICECRD ACTIVITY – Reward and Punishment is a method to motivate public service officers to provide excellent service and improve their performance. This was conveyed by the Chief Representative of the RI Ombudsman for Greater Jakarta, Mr. Teguh P. Nugroho, S.Sos, M.AP who was present as a resource person at the “Socialization of Excellent Service Culture and Reward-Punishment System” Indonesian Center For Estate Crops Research and Development (ICECRD), Thursday (1/7) , at Bogor.

Teguh explained that Reward and Punishment needs to be adjusted to the mechanism of bureaucratic reform in Ministries/Government Agencies. In addition, things that need to be considered are regulations/guidelines related to this matter.

“As for the guidelines that need to be considered regarding who is included in the category of recipients of rewards and punishments, among others, service providers or related work units, service implementers to service recipients, namely the community”. Say firmly.

Furthermore, Teguh also added that the formation of an assessment team and the consistency of the implementation of reward and punishment activities were also the keys to the success of the system.

Head of the ICECRD, Ir. Syafaruddin, Ph.D greatly appreciated the material presented by the Representative of the Indonesian Ombudsman for Greater Jakarta. He also gave directions to all service officers who were present, so that the implementation of public services at the ICECRD could be motivated to be much more optimal by implementing a reward and punishment system.

“With this reward punishment system, it must be our motivation in providing excellent service to the community. Don’t let any of us with good performance feel the same as those who don’t, because there is no appreciation or reward,” explained the head of office.

In accordance with Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services, government institutions are required to provide optimal public services to the community, for that the ICECRD continues to strive to provide optimal services to the community, including the implementation of a reward and punishment system. (Anjas/Web team)
