ICECRD ACTIVITIES – Head of the Indonesian Center For Estate Crops Research and Development (ICECRD), Ir. Syafaruddin, Ph.D participated in the signing of the Commitment to Public Information Services for the Scope of the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD), together with all Echelon II Heads of Work Units (UK) in the Evaluation and Technical Guidance for Public Information Openness of IAARD, Thursday (10/6) at the IAARD Office, Jakarta.
Witnessed directly by the Head of IAARD (Dr. Fadjry Djufry), the Head of the Central Information Commission (KIP) represented by the Head of Research and Documentation of KIP (Romanus Ndau) and the Head of the Public Relations and Public Information Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kuntoro Boga Andri, Ph.D) who present as a resource person, the Head of ICECRD together with other UK leaders signed the IAARD Public Information Service Commitment in an effort to provide optimal public information services to the community.
Fadjry Djufry in his speech emphasized that last year IAARD won first place in public information services within the Ministry of Agriculture. He hopes that this can be maintained, of course, with the support of each UK/UPT under the IAARD.
“Last year we succeeded in being the best in public information services, we hope this can be maintained not because we want to get an award, but because we as state servants have a responsibility to the community in providing maximum information”. Obviously the Head of IAARD.
The Head of ICECRD also explained that the ICECRD together with its 4 UPTs (ISMCRI, ISFCRI, IPCRI and IIBCRI) who were present at this activity were committed to maintaining transparent, fast and accurate public information services.
“Today, directly in front of the head of IAARD, Head of Public Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture, KIP leaders and UK/UPT leaders who were present. The ICECRD together with our 4 UPTs expressed their commitment to providing transparent, fast and accurate public information services for the entire community”. Said Syafaruddin.
“Furthermore, our commitment and efforts to improve information services are by allocating a special budget to support PPID activities, improving the quality of PPID human resources and providing facilities, facilities and infrastructure to support our PPID activities. Alhamdulillah, the result is that one of our Institute, namely Balittri, has won the best rank as the most informative UPT in the Ministry of Agriculture. Of course, we hope that other UPTs can be encouraged to do the same.” He added.
In this event, the Abdibaktitani award was also presented for the Outstanding Public Service Work Unit in the Agricultural Sector in 2020. One of the UPTs that received the award was the Indonesian Spice & Medicinal Crops Research Institute (ISMCRI) as a public service institution with major achievements in agriculture from the Organization and Personnel Bureau. The Head of ICECRD really appreciates the award and congratulates ISMCRI on the hard work done by ISMCRI in providing the best service for the community.

For information, this KIP Evaluation and Technical Guidance event was held to improve the quality of service for all public information managers within the IAARD by presenting a resource person, namely Mr. Kuntoro Boga Andri as Head of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Public Relations and Public Information Bureau who explained about the main programs of the Ministry of Agriculture that must be disseminated information to the public and the Chairperson of KIP, represented by the Head of Research and Documentation of KIP, Mr. Romanus Ndau, who explained the importance of the role of government agencies in public information disclosure.
