ICECRD ACTIVITIES – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission X, Desy Ratnasari, S.Psi., M.Si., M,Psi was directly present at the Technical Guidance (TG) for Innovation in Coffee Cultivation Development for Farmers in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, which was organized by the Indonesian Center For Estate Crops Research and Development in Indonesian Industrial & Bevarages Crops Research Institute or IIBCRI, Saturday (21/8).
In his speech, Desy expressed his appreciation to the Head of the ICECRD and the team, who always try to provide knowledge for farmers and entrepreneurs engaged in coffee cultivation.
“I am grateful to be able to relate to the team from the ICECRD who continues to strive to provide direct benefits to the community, especially to coffee farmers in Sukabumi today,” said Desy.
“I hope that the knowledge gained by farmers from the Coffee ICECRD today, can be absorbed and implemented, so that later they can increase their income, both from farmers to coffee entrepreneurs,” he added.
Head of ICECRD, Ir. Syafaruddin, Ph.D also expressed his gratitude as well as his hopes for the implementation of the Innovation Development Guide for Coffee Cultivation.
“Alhamdulillah, today we are holding a coffee technical guide which was also initiated directly by a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, namely Mrs. Desy Ratnasari for farmers and coffee activists in Sukabumi. The goal is that they (coffee farmers) can increase their knowledge and develop their business, considering that currently there are many coffee cafe businesses and others developing,” explained Kapus.
“Besides that, we also hope that this Bimtek will not be the last one that can be held with Ms. Desy Ratnasari, so that we can continue to optimize the enrichment of knowledge, especially for the people in Sukabumi,” closed the Head of the Department of Education.
Those who were present as resource persons at this Bimtek were from IIBCRI Mr. Eko Heri Purwanto, STP, M.Sc with material on Postharvest and Coffee Bean Processing and Ir. Handi Supriadi with material on Good Coffee Cultivation Practices in accordance with GAP. (Anjas/Web Team)
