Asembagus 81 (Asb 81) Castor Oil Prime Variety

SUPERIOR VARIETY OF ESTATE CROPS – Asb 81 vareity comes from the negative mass selection of population from Muneng village, Probolinggo Regency, East Java. Asb 81 variety can be planted as monoculture or in an interplanting with a planting distance 2 m x 2 m or 4 m x 2 m, one plant in each hole.

 

Asb 81 castor oil prime variety has a production level of 2,500 kg/ha (the average national production is 500 kg/ha), 53.5% oil content, quite resistant to Acacea janata sp pest. It is suitable to be developed commercially in dry soil and dry climate and is able to continue producing during dry season provided it receives sufficient water during the early growing period.

It is potential to be developed by bio-fuel industries to bio-fuel to run other industries.
